Meet the Management Committee Roger Lowe is currently Chair of the Malden Oaks Management Committee. Roger retired from Kingston College where he was Vice Principal for a number of years. He still has a lot of connections to Kingston and is delighted to be working with Malden Oaks. Samantha Axbey – Headteacher Sarah Kieran is currently Senior Deputy Headteacher at Christ’s School where she has particular responsibility for pastoral matters. She has been in education for over 25 years, working in 5 very different schools, holding a variety of posts. She has a breadth of experience. A member of the Behaviour, Safety and Welfare sub- committee, and recently taken on the role of the Safeguarding Lead Mateen Greenway has worked in the IT Industry for over 30 years. Mateen is married and has lived in Kingston upon Thames for over 20 years . His hobbies include 3D Computer graphics. Karen Velissarides has been teaching for 30 years in a range of schools. In the last 10 years this has been as a member of the senior leadership team. She has a wide range of experience at both pastoral and curriculum levels. Robert Green retired as a senior civil servant in 2007. His career was mainly in the D of E (responsibilities included the legislation establishing the National Curriculum, local funding of schools, and policy on special education) and Ofsted, where he introduced new inspection arrangements for children’s social care and adult learning. Since retirement, Robert has served as a governor of Kingston University and of a residential special school; as non-executive for a national children’s charity; and completed a PhD. Robert joined the Management Committee of Malden Oaks in October 2015, and is also a member of the Finance, Personnel and Resources Sub-Committee. Mark Hoble is a Partner at Mercer specialising in human resources matters with a focus on Main Boards. He has worked with many large companies in the UK and overseas through which he has developed wide experience in helping companies with various business challenges. Mark is a graduate of the University of Nottingham and London Business School. Mark’s activities in the third sector include working with Oxfam as a Trustee Advisor and through his appointment as a Freeman of the City of London involvement with a number of inner city based charities. Alison Dinsdale – Staff MC Member, ICT Technician and Teaching Assistant Daniel Edwards is currently the Assistant Headteacher at Southborough High School in Surbiton. His main focus is on pupil behaviour, personal development and student welfare. He has been working at Southborough for 10 years as a PE teacher and as a Head of Year before becoming the Assistant Headteacher just over three years ago. Claude Green has spent most of his working life at Reuters in a variety of financial and then general management positions both in the UK and Europe. After retiring, he went to film school where he learnt the art of fiction and documentary filmmaking. Since then he has made a number of short films and is currently working on a new feature film script. Robyn Sloman is currently working as an Assistant Head Teacher at Tolworth Girls School after having taught in a number of secondary schools in England and Australia. Previously she has worked as an OFSTED inspector and obtained my NPQH qualification. She enjoys teaching English.
